This means that together the governors decide what they want the school to achieve, setting suitable aims and objectives, agreeing policies, targets and priorities; and monitoring all of these to ensure they are being achieved. For example, they are responsible for setting the values of the school, overseeing budgets, assisting with the recruitment of new staff and acting as a \u2018critical friend\u2019 to the Head Teacher.\u00a0<\/p><p>The Governing Body meets once every half term. In addition to this, governors also meet in a variety of working groups, including: Staffing and Finance; Premises; Health and Safety; Performance and Management.
