At Amberley Primary School there are no additional charges for children accessing their\u00a0 early years entitlements in nursery.<\/p>

Nursery Morning sessions are: 8:45am-11:45am Mon-Fri (15hrs weekly)<\/p>

Nursery Afternoon sessions are: 12:30-3:30pm Mon-Fri (15hrs weekly)<\/p>

Parents with children who access the 30hr provision using our wrap around provider ‘Little Angels’ will need to contact Little Angels regarding potential additional charges.<\/p><\/div>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Applications for a Nursery place should be made by contacting the school office on (0191) 8140970 or completing the Nursery\u00a0admission form and emailing the form to:\u00a0office@amberleyprimary.co.uk<\/u><\/p>

\u00a0School will then inform parents\/carers by letter if they have been successful in gaining a place. If the school is unable to offer a place because of over-subscription, their name will be kept on a waiting list. If a place becomes available, it will be offered to the applicant on the waiting list who ranks highest in accordance with the published admission criteria.<\/p>

There is no deadline for nursery admissions- you can complete the admission\u00a0form from birth and your child will be added to the admissions list for the academic\u00a0year that they are three\u00a0years old.<\/p><\/div>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

The LA provides nursery education to three-year olds and four-year olds leading up to their statutory school starting age.<\/p>

The over-subscription criteria for admission of pupils to a nursery class where demand is greater than places available is as follows in priority order:<\/p>

  1. Looked after children<\/li>
  2. Children living in the catchment area<\/li>
  3. The presence of a brother or sister already in the main school.<\/li>
  4. Any remaining places are allocated to children according to the order that they are on the waiting list. Children at the top of the list will be giving priority.<\/li><\/ol>

    Once your child has been offered a place at our school,<\/strong>\u00a0they will be invited to spend a few hours in school to give them an opportunity to become familiar with their new surroundings. You will also be invited to an introduction meeting. If you are new to our school, this will give you an opportunity to meet the staff and see our provision. At this meeting,<\/strong>\u00a0we will share basic information about starting school in September and some of the key routines.
